Temiscaming Quebec, a town founded on the banks of the Ottawa River in 1921, is a beautiful provincial border town, of 3800 people, located 64 kilometres Northeast of North Bay Ontario, down Highway 63.

Temiscaming and area are well known to outdoor enthusiasts, for their beautiful scenery, fishing, hunting and many other outdoor activities, such as snowmobiling and cross-country skiing during winter months and tennis and baseball during summer months.

Tembec, created in 1973 by local employees, entrepreneurs, the community and different levels of government, is Temiscaming’s largest employer and economic lifeblood. Tembec was the driving force behind the construction of Le Centre and continues to be a driving force in the community today.

Paper Fest, St-Jean Baptiste and Canada Day, are large events, which are celebrated annually in Temiscaming. Live bands, fireworks displays, beer and food tents, children’s air play structures, athletic competitions, face painting, pony rides and a community bonfire are some of the activities over the course of these celebrations.
